First assignment! @_@Basically: Select 2 words which best describes your character and plug them in a sentence… example: My name is name and I love word1
Objectives: Understanding and internalizing… design process, idea generation techniques, basic production techniques
(You should communicate the concept through manipulation of the letter in your name.)
Procedure:Develop 4 concepts (preliminary sketches) for each sentence (8 total) Select 1 concept (out of 4) from EACH SENTENCE which you like most (total 2 concepts) and Further explore and develop (full scale roughs) at least 2 variations of each selected concepts Produce and present your selected designs on A5 size papers.
Doing the groundwork makes me realise the actual difficulties of my name even though it is short. Yikes, but after going through 10+ ideas (like Alice in Wonderland, doodling, music, figurines, graphic design, coffee, dark chocolate, Photoshop, four seasons etc.) I finally settled down on two of them.
I'm supposed to choose one concept from each of them and then develop 2 rough draft variations. I'll probably mix-and-match since I'm not fully satisfied with any one concept. x_o And I'm still wondering if I should colour them fullscale or not. Hmm.
